  1. well its easier in the long run to put each instrument on its own track, if only for the reason of effects and compression and panning, well for all reasons its good to put the instruments on there own tracks. i wouldn't call him an idiot maybe that works for him, but you have more control and its easier for most to put each instrument on its own track altho i normally mix the instruments completely then bounce them to 1 track before i work the vocals in. thats just me, be in any case when mixing the instruments they should be on their own tracks, and you can removed that bouncing step of mine cause its just extra nonsense that i do, i would say you are right and he is wrong. but remember this is music there is no right or wrong

Now i've been working with a producer who seems to think that putting each instrument on it's own track is not how it's supposed to be done. But i told him it's easier to mix when there tracked out like that. It's easier to mix vocals with the track.Am i wrong or is he a idiot Because he thinks that recording all instruments and synths on one track is the correct way to do everything.

Another metaphysical type of blog from me, I figure I'd put another one up and if Brandon gets tired of them he'll tell me lol. This one came directly off my site.
Original blog

A story frequently told by guru’s to show people the kind of desire they need to have in order to achieve success is as follows:

A boy walks up to an old successful philosopher and says, “I wish to have success like you.”

So the old man tells him to meet him at the lake

Stop Fighting Your Clients and Let Them In

by glenlata on 05-05-2012 at 07:30 PM
For years I had been picking and choosing my battles as far as the music industry goes. For a time I had even left music to record other projects for other people (I don’t think any engineer should only seek music projects). During that time I learned something amazing, I learned that my people skills and my personality more often than not sold people on working with me. I have had the opportunity to book people before they even had the chance to hear a single thing I did. Was it based on reputation,
