I have just recently bought and started using 2 Presonus StudioLive mixers ganged together. I also have a rack of preamps, UA, Aphex Presonus 11 channels of pre's in total. I have been using my Neumann M149, AKG 414xl2 and xls as well as a Rode NTK. I have compared them and I am not impressed with the difference of the audio with or without the pre's. My monitor speakers are Tannoy 6D with 2.1 config with 10" Tannoy sub. Computer Mac Quadcore with Snow Leopard with Cubase 5 and StudioOne Pro.
Anybody else using the StudioLive mixer with any comparison comments? I think the Preamps in the StudioLive are great! What do you think? Should I sell my ART pres for more mics?
