Default Recording Guitar Effects and Sony ACID Music Studio?

Question: I can hear the effects from M-Audio Fast Track Pro and hear the loops I've created in ACID music studio.
When I play back the recording I've done, the guitar track doesn't have the effects I've used.
Do I need to add effects these to the track?
Doesn't Music Studio record the guitar track/effect as you hear it through the FT PRo?
Thanks!

I'm going to need more details about this one.

So you are saying that you record guitar with effects on it and the actual signal being recorded does not have those effects?

You mention the effects are from the M-Audio Fast Track Pro. Is it possible that these effects are only there for monitoring purposes? A lot of singers like , reverb in their headphones even though this reverb will never make it on the recording.

I'm not familar with the lastest versions of ACID. Are you able to monitor effects while you play? In the past, this wasn't possible.

Brandon -thanks for the reply.
Yeah, in the new ACID Music Studio, I can monitor effects from the GT Player Express that was packaged with the FT Pro.
When I hit record, I can hear the effects and backing track through FT PRO.
When I play back the recorded track, there is not effect on the guitar track.
I have been playing around with it, and just add the effect after I've got the guitar track done, but this seems like an extra step or two that hopefully I could eliminate,
Maybe not?
Not sure of the limitations of using the ACID Music STudio, mayne this is just a hang-up of the software.
Thanks for any advice, its appreciated.

If the tone is really happening, you definitely want that going to disk. You don't want to have to add stuff later or bother tinkering with it. If the tone is happening, you need to figure out how to put it down that way.

Cubase works a lot like how a big console works where they have the channel going into the recording rig and then they have another channel on the other side of the console going out. So in Cubase, you can put effects on the monitor (which I've never done) that should effect the recorded track but you can also put effects on after the track is put on disk. I'm not sure if ACID would have this kind of capability or not.
