Can anyone help? I find the owners manual a nightmare. I simply want to bounce my first 8 tracks down to 15/16, and re-record more on the original 8. Can someone give me a step by step on doing this??? PLEASE. Thanks. |

1. Set the target track to “Play”. 2. From the main screen, press the status keys of the destination tracks repeatedly, so that the keys are lit in red. 3. Press the [BOUNCE] key in the control section. The key lights up and the bounce function is turned on. While the key is lit, the destination tracks are selected as recording targets. 4. Set the recorder to playback and adjust the mixing balance of the various tracks. 6. Move the recorder to the beginning and start recording. 7. When recording is complete, press the STOP key. See page 44 in the HD16 manual. You would think that since the audio is in digital the unit would just copy the track to the destination tracks but instead you have to record the target track to the dest tracks just like a tape-based porta-studio. jack

You can also choose which v-take to send the bounced track to.. useful to keep the original take in case result isn't what you crave . Or, you can copy the track to another v-take then bounce , but its not neccesary since you can change the bounce settings to current or any v-take.. 1.project utility key 2.scroll to [bounce] 3.[rec take], then choose [current] to have effect on currently selected take of any track. For instance, track 1(or anyother track) lit red, then hit bounce, hit record. effect will apply to selected take..or,choose any other take number in [rec take] menu to have result of track with insert effect to any desired v-take. ..I know this is old info but some new owners would appreciate the help. lets say you have guitar into input 1 , then record on track 1, then dub on track2..and so on. Choosing bounce destination as opposed to just hitting bounce(which records effect on your freshly recorded track), will leave your original track untouched in case you dont like results. After you have desired effects on tracks, select said v-take of each track adjust levels, arm each to(green), select destination(ex..track 8,track15/16, or any desired destination track or tracks), arm to (red). Change [rec take] settings if desired in bounce menu, then hit record. All tracks are now bounced to destination track. Old Info , but i wish the manual would have spelled it out like this the first couple of hours when i was testing recording..This forum is a great place to find information, the manual should have link to this forum.. still learning ways everyday to simplify the recording and mixing process Last edited by salazar1979; 09-24-2009 at 04:01 PM. |
