Default 1608 Newbie

Forgive me if this is in another thread or not (or just point me to the thread). Here's the deal: I bought the Zoom 1608 mainly for the reason that I am a drummer, so I can pipe quite a few mics in there for my acoustic set, doing 8 simultaneous is great obviously, so here is my big Q: If I record say 4 or 5 tracks of drums (snare, bass, toms, overhead...etc..) can I apply an individual effect to each track? Example: I would like to use one effect on the bass, another on the snare and then yet ANOTHER on the toms....etc...I am trying to follow the instructions and it seems like the effect I put on the bass ends up on the snare too (or vice versa). Like say I want a "snappy snare" effect on it, I dont that on my bass drum obviously....again I am following the instrutions pretty good I think. But after reading a while and trying a bunch of stuff, I forget where I started. Any help out there, please let me know!

thx!

Scott

Default Re: 1608 Newbie

There is only one effect generator, not one one per channel.
The effect source is set to individual, stereo pair, 1 to 8, 9 to 19. master or all inputs or tracks.
i.e. once you set up the effect and adjust dry takes levels of reverb, delay etc., you need to bounce the result to another take, (wet record), then reset and, (bounce), another dry take with effect to another take, (wet record), etc., till you build up a set of all new wet takes.
If that makes sense?.
