I have a Zoom H4N recorder that I think is a great tool, but I can't figure out how to "assign tracks," after doing multi-track recording. The manual in this area does not help me. I purchased a DVD featuring David Wills, and he's good in all areas but this one: assigning tracks. The problem occurs when I try to play back 2 or more tracks, listening to both tracks. In the head phones, everything's fine. When I run the sound through the speakers, however, I get feedback and must shut down. This means to me that I'm still recording. That tracks have not been "assigned" to stereo files, but I can't figure that step out. Anyone familiar with the Zoom H4N able to help me? Thanks!
