Default What else do I need for a real, workable setup?

I have a MacBook Pro - Ableton Live 7 - Line 6 UX2, PODxt Live - Shure SM 57's, Sennheiser vocal mics, Mogami cables, 4x12 cab, 1970 Fender Deluxe Reverb (NOT a re-issue), pop screen, JBL Eon's for monitors. The one thing I really want to get is a mixer that will connect to my Mac via FireWire. Can you guys think of anything else I would need to have in order to start recording our band? I would also like to be able to offer recording services to some local talent.

Thanks

I see that a 5400rpm harddrive somes standard in the Mac Book Pro although there is a 7200rpm options. This may not be the choice computer for your recording.

I have the 7200 rpm hard drive and I am going to buy a 7200 firewire external drive.

Yeah, I'd just use an external 7200. You don't want your audio on the same drive as your operating system anyway.
