Default Wavelab Essential 6 Problem Burning CD after editing

Hello, I had Wavelab 4.0 and then my computer crashed. I have a new computer with Vista Home as the operating system. I have purchased Wavelab Essential 6. I can edit with it but when I try to burn a CD of the edited version to play on a regular CD recorder, the sound won't come through. It will play on my computer. I have tried Roxio Cd burning software and Windows Media to burn the CD. Nothing works....Can anyone help me with this?

Thank you,
Colleen

Are you saying the cd is blank?

First, verify that you do indeed have a 44.1Khz 16 bit wav file. If you are trying to burn something else you'll have to convert it first or you'll get errors.

It could be an issue with your cd burner. Are you able to burn data cds? If not, try one. Just burn a txt file or something and see if that works.

I've come across similar burning problems with windows vista based software. I once burnt a series of pictures to a dvd or cd - whatever - and when I took it home to my computer the disc wasn't empty but I wasn't able to read it either.

I think the disc had gotten a file sytem the xp machine at home couldn't read...

Anyway - I burnt the same thing with nero, wich I at least know how works and what it does, and there - no problem.

So maybe you just made an error while setting up for the burn without knowing it, just like I did. If you have a mixdown file with the specs that brandon describes, you should try burning it with a software you know your way around and have had no errors with before.
