Default trying to start a small home studio

hey im trying to start a summer business and give local bands that are just starting up an easy way to record. My friend has a great PA system and a few SM microphones. i have a pro line drumset, drum mics, and a very nice laptop. I was wondering if someone could help me make a general list of things the main things we'd need to get started. My list would be:

1. Firepod recording interface
2. Recording software(probably pro tools)
3. A special mic to record singing with

Protools won't run on Firepod. Protools has its own specific hardware requirements. Protools has its own specific plugins, etc. etc. etc. For these and other reasons, the Protools route is more expensive than other software methods.

You mean a large diaphragm condensor microphone.
