TASCAM us-122l

My Macbook isn't picking up my TASCAM us-122l, despite all my begging and pleading. I admit to being quite the noob with thisparticular piece of hardware, and was wondering if anyone had any advice.

You've installed all the latest drivers and firmware updates from TASCAM, yes?

yes, and still no go. It is now picking it up in the "audio midi setup" app on my mac, but the image is grayed out and i cant do much from there.

We'll need more detail on what you're trying to do and how you're going about it (e.g. what DAW app are you using? How have your tried to configure access to your interface, etc.).

its took 1 month for to set up my tascam US122. sometimes I feel like quit this hobby. at last my friend who is working in a IT firm set the tascam for me.

Actually it is not because of the interface but actually because of me....ZERO in PC knowledge.
But now I have a problem in micing the acoustic guitar....cant get the volume that i need.....sometimes very hard for me to hear the acoustic part. Maybe the set up of the mic...... or the mic it self...BTW I using the AT2020 for the acoustic guitar. Now I think I need to get a cheap small condensor mic for the recording.
