I Would Like To Buy A Tascam 1082 But I Got Some Questions That The People With Experience Would Know And Help Me With Them.

1. Do You Recommend Tascam 1082 For A Home Recording Studio?
2. Does The Tascam 1082 Works With Pro Tools?

From the TASCAM website:

"It works well with Steinberg Cubase and Nuendo, Apple Logic, Apple Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack Pro and Motion, Cakewalk Sonar, MOTU Digital Performer. It also works as a HUI control surface and MIDI interface for Digidesign Pro Tools."

I take this to mean that it can be used as a Hardware User Interface for ProTools but that you would still need to use a Digidesign audio interface.

I used the fw1082 for about two years and loved it, there was a bit of learning curve but there usually is with any interface. But I think it is a great bang for the buck. Would recommend it to anyone, i recently upgraded because i wanted more channels, i'm selling my tascam fw1082 if your interested
