 starting from scratch any help welcom
Got an ACER Aspire 3630 laptop / behringer UB 1202 mixer / Shure mike and thinking of downloading Mixcraft or similar , any suggestions as to whether this will suffice or do I need some thing else

How you are getting audio into the computer? In other words, what soundcard / audio interface are you using? Brandon

Bear in mind you are not talking to a techie here only a busker ! The sound card is as supplied with the ACER laptop. I am putting two mikes / guitars through the Behringer mixer then through the Acer via the line in jack socket |

Okay, you will run into problems with the stock soundcard more than likely if you do any overdubbing at all. I'd HIGHLY recommend picking up a audio interface that is specifically designed for audio recording. Take a look at the soundcard wizard in my signature. Brandon
