Starting a live show, need help!!!

So I'm planning on starting a webshow that will be broadcast over the internet. It will consist of a couple of people at a table discussing topics and taking questions from the live chatroom. I've got the video part already planned out. I need to get mics for everyone involved on the show. I realize that there will be compression since it will be broadcast live over the internet, but I need to get a good sound for all of the voices, with catching as little background noises as possible. I'm of course working on a tight budget and need something with some bang for the buck. So I thought I would turn to these fine forums and see what recommendations everyone has for mic's and preamps, etc.

How many guys will be in the webcast? Is it okay for the mics to be visable?

I'd simply run for mics into a cheap little mixer and run that output to your video camera. I would greatly prefer using compression on the voices, if I had a choice. You could probably get away with compressing the voices on the stereo out of the mixer just before you go into your video camera.

I doubt there would be more than 3 people on camera at once. I also have no problem with the mic's being visible. Can you recommend a cheap little mixer.

This mixer would probably do it:

Buy Alesis MultiMix 8USB Mixer with USB and DSP online at Musician's Friend

Then again just about any mixer with enough mic inputs (preamps) would work.
