Default Sound getting lost from interface to computer

So, I plug my keyboard directly into the back of my mbox 2 pro to input one using a trs cable, press the switch to di, turn the gain up, alright so everything's good. I open protools, create a mono audio track, go to the mixer window and start playing the keyboard and i'm not getting any levels, like the signal's not going through to the computer from the interface. I know it's going through the interface because if I turn it up really loud the peak light goes on. I checked all my i/o settings, normal, hardware settings, normal, i made sure that the track was on input: analog 1, so i don't really know where to go from here. please help.

Thanks,
Scott

I wish I could help you, but I'm not a Pro Tools guy.

Well i don't even know if it's a problem with protools, do you have any idea on what the problem could be if it isn't protools?

Unfortunatley, Pro Tools has it's own way of doing things. Because the hardware and software are integrated, the methods for troubleshooting are much different than I'm used to.
