Default Slight buzz/hum while recording

I record at home using Acid 4.0, I know, old program, but it is really easy to use. I get a low buzz when I record. I think it is from my sound card. It is a Turtle Beach (don't know the exact model). Could there be another source? Does anyone have suggestions for checking and/or recomendations for a new sound card?
Are there any tricks/ settings that will reduce this noise?

Well, you didn't say what or how you were recording, so it's kinda hard to troubleshoot..If you are even the least bit serious about recording give the Turtle Beach to the fishes and use the Soundcard Wizard on this site to help you find a real deal audio interface. They start at about $100.
