Default recording stereo

hi, i got my cubase sx3 yesterday and with emu 0404 i plugged my guitar and started recording however the wave i see in the cubase is mono not stereo please hlep me what to do?

Assuming you have two inputs plugged into cubase, you need to create a new stereo track. You've clearly figured out how to make a new audio track... it asks you if you want mono or stereo.
If you're inputting your guitar directly into the emu, then I think you are recording a mono signal.

Richiebee is right. I can't remember a time where I have recorded stereo guitars.

Now in mixing, I almost always pan layers of electrics to either side (which you could call stereo guitars, I guess).
