Overloaded Cubase Song Won't Open, Help!

Well, I've done it again...too many tracks, or too many effects, or something...now the song won't open. Cubase just locks up when I try, and I have to do a hard reboot to get going again! I hoped that by freezing as many tracks as I could that I'd be OK, but apparently not. Any ideas on how to get this song to open? Once I do I can bump tracks down and consolidate, but right now I'm stuck. I have a backup copy but of the song that WILL open but using that would mean a LOT of re-editing and singing backup tracks, etc. etc., which I'd much rather avoid. Please help if you can!

have you tried starting it in safe mode??? Dunno, it might help.

Maybe you could install Cubase on a more powerful computer and open it from there. Or, you could upload the file to someone else so they could bounce all the tracks and stuff...

Yeah, one of the problems I've had is that I have no nearby Cubase-using pals to help me...that's a reason I've gravitated to this forum. So I don't really know anyone with a more powerful system, except some of my studio-owning contacts, and they're gonna charge me a chunk. I'm not sure about uploading those files, they've gotta be huge, and who would I send 'em to? Even if I do get it on another system they won't have my plugins. Arrgh. I'll try the safe mode thing, but hey, if it doesn't work I have only myself to blame...I should have been bouncing tracks or freezing them. And I should be networking more locally too! I get too wrapped up in my own thing to get out and do that.
