I have a cheap, but decent electric guitar. A BOSS GT-6 guitar effects processor. And Cubase SX3. I want to record my guitar on my laptop computer. I've been trying to use run my guitar through my BOSS into the mic port on my laptop, but I have been entirely unsuccessful. Is it possile to achive what I've been trying to do, and if so could somebody explain to me/point me to a tutorial on how to do so? I'm going to be buying an external USB soundcard in the summer [low funds atm], but I'm itching to get some recording done so I can get acquainted with Cubase as soon as possible. Thanks for any help y'all can give. |

I must say that I'm not a big fan of direct recording (going straight out of a pedal and into the soundcard). However, if your low on cash, you are low on cash. I must say that using the stock soundcard is a pain in the ass almost every time, but you can probably work around it for now. Start out by reading this and then ask me any questions you may have. http://www.recordingreview.com/artic...Soundcard.html Brandon |
