Default New Vista drivers for M-Audio Delta 1010 - adjusting preamp?

I recently updated to the latest drivers for my M-Audio Delta 1010LT. The driver version number ends with 5065. Has anyone who have tried these drivers found a way to adjust the built in microphone preamp?

Using the original drivers there is a lot more settings to adjust in the control panel but with the new drivers it is almost like a joke. Could it be that M-Audio just released these drivers early so that Vista user at least can get sound out of their cards?

I've been using the new drivers for a while here with no problems.
I'm still not sure if I like it as much as the old one, but it gets the job done.

Can you please tell me how you adjust the preamp for the mics? I haven't found where to do this...

I should have let you know that I'm using a delta 66 and XP, but I assume they're the same drivers.
You should just have to open up the mixer tab and turn up the levels on the preamp channel. I assume it would be labeled "1/2 in".
Have you had this card working before?
Is there some kind of switch on the card to turn the preamps on/line input?

I have the drivers that are described on M-AUDIO - Knowledge Base

There on the mixer page you can adjust the output of different levels (say input 1/2). Does this actually adjust the preamp?

It seems like my recordings are at considerably lower overall level when I use the new drivers, eventhough I have turned up the levels on channels 1/2 to max. Is this really a controll for the preamp?

Hi nobruu.

I did not find a solution to my problem. It seems like M-audio has not added this function to the vista drivers yet.

What I did was to install the older drivers instead. (I think they end with something like 57v3). These work great. I am not sure what to do if you are using Windows Vista.

I was trying to record the master out to a separate track the other day and for the life of me I couldn't do it.
I used to with no problem?
I'll have to look into it further as I may have missed something stupid, but I suspect it's the new crap mixer/drivers behind it.
