need a fast multi vst laptop that can run xp

hi there
i have been searching for a laptop that can handle four vst instruments at the same time in realtime through my m audio firewire 410 soundcard for live use. it seems that there are so many new systems that wont accept xp because of the sata 2 internal drives. i have searched this for weeks but havent found anybody that uses 4 vsts with plugins. i live in taiwan and no one will let me trial run their laptops first. so, im scared that i will buy something and it will jam up or glitch when in use. the vsts we would be using would be the grand2, ewqlso gold, battery and probably another instance of battery or ewqlso.
i had finally narrowed it down to the acer travelmate 5729G with the intel duo2 2.0 ghz processor. mainly because it has the 'ti' firewire chipset. if anyone has any suggestions or experience in this please help. the people who are selling this acer said that they can install xp by means of external floppy. what about other drivers and would there be any downsides to running xp on this system?
