 Mixing Vocals Need Help!
Hi So I've started recording stuff with my new micro (Shure M58) on cubase and I was wondering, when u record your vocals (or someone else's) what do you do? I'm recording mostly punk, rock , pop material . I play a lil with the EQ , the Reverb and the delay. I wana give my voice a lil more energy and a lil "home made " cheap sound... any tips will be very appreciated Alex  |

Oh wow. This could be a HUGE thread. Sometimes I do nothing except compression. Sometimes I have a super short delay, a longer delay, and an even longer delay, and a couple of reverbs. Usually, it's somewhere in between. You may be better off posting in Bash This Mix and we can help address specific concerns. An entire encyclopedia could be written about mixing vocals. Brandon
