Hey m8, congrats on your great work, that's my firts shot on the site so i'd like to step up with a question, i tried the forum but my doubt doesn't seem to fit in any of them, so i decided to ask directly to the very Supreme Overlord Commander himself ok?

Whats the best way of setting up my current gear?

- PROFIRE 2626
- DIGIMAX D8
- DBX 166 XL

I know there's a lot of them so i really need you to show me the best path, and i really need an answear mate cuz this equipment is comming this week and i need to get on the hard work. So, i'm counting on you Brandon, thanx in advance bro.
Hooking the D8 up to your Profile 2626 is straight forward. You simply use an ADAT cable to send signal out of the D8 into the 2626.

The DBX 166XL compressor is possible difficult (and maybe not doable at all with your current gear).

The idea is to have the preamp first and the compressor second. Actually, this is more than an "idea". This is how it works.

I've used the D8 but I can't remember if it had any sort of line out / line in function or maybe an effects loop. If you can get the analog signal out of the D8, run it to your DBX 166XL compressor and then back to your D8 you'll be in business. Otherwise, I'm not sure how you'll be able to use it.

Brandon

WTF man, i don't believe this, i mean, i can use it if exclude the D8 right? so that's what i'm gonna do, when i get the stuff i'll try this way, excluding the D8 from the process, unless i could get the signal from and back to the D8, but thanx Brandon, i really hope i didn't made a very wrong choice by buying this stuff, now it's time to work with i own, bad or good i have to make money and take the best out of this stuff. thanx again mate.

One more thing, would be extremally terrible if i send the signal first to the 166, in some cases i mean, not the whole time. What do you think of that?
