Default Looking to Clone C:

I'm looking for a program that will allow me to clone my C: drive for backup purposes. With all my recording programs, recording program updates, cd burning software, multiple plugins, and multiple VST instruments it sounds like formatting my C: drive and starting all over would take 10 hours to get back up and running.

I'd like to clone my current C: drive to another drive so that, in the event of a failure, I can simply swap out drives and keep working.

Anyone know off hand of the best way of doing this. I've tinkered with Norton Ghost and a few similar programs.

I'm considering the possibility of using a mirrored RAID setup as well. Has anyone done this? To what degree of success? I just can't waste time fixing and reinstalling computers. I'm way too busy for that.

Brandon

Hi Brandon.

Ive got a CARILLON pc. It came with Acronis True Image which is great. I have an external harddrive where i store the C drive images. When u want to revert the comuter, you just load it up and go make a cup of tea, and its normally back up in 10-20mins. Its so worth it.

Symantec Ghost is good (assuming you are using a PC).

Carbon Copy Cloner is good for Macs & is free.
