 Live Sound. Amp -> Speaker
Hey all. One thing I have always been quite let down by my understanding of watts and ohms. My question is will this amp THE T.AMP TA1050 MK-X - Irish International Cyberstore power 2 of these speakers properly TAPCO 6915 BY MACKIE - Irish International Cyberstore. Thanks   |

The speaker link is product dead. Anyway, Watt is how much power a amp will produce through the resistance (OHM) of the speaker. Generally, amps are rated for 8 OHM load and speakers are 8 OHM. If the amp can handle a lower load, they should give that rating. Not all amps can handle 4 ohm speakers, but 6 ohm is probably OK.
