Hey Everyone, I am trying to lay down a vocal track and an instrumental track together using Sony Soundforge 8.0. I'd like to first record the instrumental, then play it back and record the vocal while it plays in the background, then splice them together. Does anyone know how to do this, or do I know a different program then Soundforge? Thanks! Gremlin |

Sound Forge is not designed to multi-track. It's simply designed to edit individual wav files. In Sony land, you'd need Vegas for that. I generally recommend Cubase to most users. Brandon |

Cubase 4 carries a price tag of $600.00. I was speaking with an audiophile buddy of mine and I asked him about Cubase. He's used it but said it's really complicated to use. Plus since it's Steinberg, you gotta dongle.
