Question Help monitoring out to headphones with the Delta 1010LT

With this setup I have no problem with output to my KRK studio monitors. They have left & right outputs 1&2 going to each speaker. The problem is figuring out a way to monitor out to headphones. With headphones you have a single 1/4” TRS plug but left right female RCA plugs to work with from the card. Is there some kind of splitter that can be used with a female 1/4” TRS on one end to plug the headphones into, and with the left & right RCA male plugs on the other end to plug into the card? Or better yet is there some kind of inexpensive headphone monitoring box that can be utilized as a station for outputting headphone monitor mixes?

Thanks in advance for any help.

J

You can get that kind of adapter cable at a place like Radio Shack for a few dollars.

I think you probably need a headphone amp of some sort, which you will find in most mixers

connect your main outs of your card to the mixer,
connect your main outs of your mixer to your monitors

mixer will have headphone amp and socket.

You now have both monitors and headphones working, using only 1 pair of outputs.

Lightbulb Re: Help monitoring out to headphones with the Delta 1010LT

Thanks guys, I went and bought a cheap headphone amp with 4 inputs. It has one 1/4" stereo connection so I got a 1/4" to RCA left\right cord and it seems to work for the most part. I am still getting used to the latest 1010LT drivers to get everything right but it's a good start.

Thanks,
J
