hi recording.com right now i got this integrated soundcard and i want to buy a sound card made just for home recording.can anyone help?
right now i got this punk azz soundmax intergated digital audio soundcard and i think this is built into my motherboard.


also do i need a digital track recorder to produce rap beats and record?
i been thinking about buy a 12 to 16 track recorder
what u think?

should i upgrade my computer?

windows xp home edition on a dell dimension 3000
its just 256mb of ram
running 2.66ghz i plan to buy cubsae 4 real soon im saving......

I'd 100% without a doubt recommend using the computer for making rap music. The biggest reason comes in the ease and price of getting new samples.

You are going to need WAY more ram than that. I have 2 GB of RAM in my recording rig. Your computer is probably faster than mine, however.

As for the soundcard, try using the Home Recording Soundcard Wizard in my signature.
