Default help with audio interface

I am looking to buy an audio interface that i can use with logic to record 8 tracks with 8 mics at the same time. (i want to record a full drum set). i am not looking for top of the line stuff here, just something that will get the job done. will an maudio firewire 1814 do that? thanks in advance!

First, I recommend you go through the Home Recording Soundcard Wizard. Go through the beginners version. It'll help you A LOT!

The M-Audio FireWire 1814 Computer Recording Interface will record 8 channels at the same time, but it only has 2 built in preamps. Try using the wizard. You should be able to come up with a solution that has 8 inputs and 8 mic preamps such as the
PreSonus FIREPOD 10-Channel FireWire Interface with Cubase LE

Talking Re: help with audio interface

Hello guys, I am brand new in audio recording and I am starting to buy equipment to set my home studio. I have been reading some about audio interface and almost to get a M-audio Profire 610 interface. I pretend to record vocals, bass, guitar and keyboard and play old 60 and 70 songs. Any suggestions?

See Brandon's advice above (or below, depends...) The SoundCard Wizard was made to help with these decisions.
