Default Hard Panning (Presonus Firestudio)

So, I have searched EVERYWHERE and cannot find an answer to this question.
I have a Presonus Firestudio which came with LE4. When I go to hard pan tracks (or pan at all) the left is super strong, I hear both L and R. When I pan to the right the sound fades out and eventually to nothing. I have checked my Presonus Controler to see if DAW 1 and DAW 2 were not panned correctly or if they weren't in the mix, but sure enough they were correct. I doubt it's Cubase because when I am just using the Presonus Controller I get the same thing happening. I have tried running Safe Modes, switching bitrates and the buffer size.

I doubt it is thhe Clock source because there is only two choices: Firestudio Master and Firestudio SPDIF, which when I select that, my Firestudio loses connection.

Any help would be apprecitated if anyone knows.

Thanks!

This means that Daw2's side isn't working. This could be a cable or something further down the line, but most likely it is your settings in the Firestudio DSP mixer thingy or a glitch there.

I had this occur on me a few times and I found that if I changed Daw 1 to somemthing else (Daw 17 for example) and then did the same for Daw2, it kicked it in the rear and worked.

It's definitely not the clock. It should lose connectiton with S/PDIF if you are not actually sending it a clock signal.

Which driver are you using? There have been several driver updates. I've had the best luck and lowest latency with not the latest Universal Sound Whatever, but with the one before it. You may want to try either one. Make sure you follow the instructions carefully. There are a few unintuitive little steps.

Perhaps a stupid question but you aren't recording with a line/mic in stereo and trying 2 pan it then? Cos if you are as far as I know it'll only give the volume for that channel, so if you have input 1 coming in as stereo it'll only give you right (or left, whatever). So you can't pan a stereo left signal right easily cos if you record in stereo mode it'll just look for the 'other' channel (ie 2) on that input to give you the stereo sound, if that's not there it'll give you nothing. Got a Firestudio too recently, loving it so far. Using a mac 2 if this means nothing to you.

Thanks everyone, I figured it out! I was an idiot and was using a MONO 1/8" jack to 1/4" when I switched back to a stereo one, everything was just peachy.
