grrr it jst wont work!

ive tried for hours on cubase and im getting no results. i have a wireless mic plugged into a tascam us-122L which is connected to my laptop through usb. ive tried with electric and electro acoustic guitars but when i press record notihngs coming through. ive searched everything i could find and it seems right. do i need an amp or something? suggestions?

Well l hope a wireless mic plugged into something means the receiver of a wireless mic plugged into something. (Just making sure!)

Did you install the drivers for the Tascam? Did you create input and output channels in Cubase? Please give a little (lots) more info about what you have done and tried so far. Like what O/S is on the laptop for starters.

There is some work to do setting up but we can get you through this and it will all be worth it. Don't despair! Since everything else is failing try reading the manuals. Tascam has a beginer's guide, a owner's manual, and CUbase LE notes that should help you out:

i know theres more to this so ive probably completely missed something.

so far ive got all MIDI inputs and selected microsoft wavetable synth as output. i followed the step by step guide up until u move the slider to select recording sound level. the bar on the right that usually lights up just isnt there. ive selected record enable and the moniter so theyr lit up and theres no time delay. ive looked at the device management and the wavetable synth and the tascame are online.
