Default EZ Drummer & Cubase Le ?????

I'm having proublems trying to get Cubase LE to record the grooves from Ez drummer. I can play the drums fine with my midi controller & record them
from the controller but I can't seem to get the grooves to record on a track.
Please help.

So are the grooves in EZ Drummer? I know it has some built in stuff. That's why I ask. Couldn't you just import them by dragging them onto Cubase...or is that not how EZ Drummer works? Sorry. I have DFH Superior, but it's obviously way different of an animal.

I'm confused here. You can record the drums from the controller, but you can't? Sorry, I'm misunderstanding you.

Is the problem Cubase? Are you capable of recording MIDI into Cubase that can trigger whatever? Or is the problem on the EZ Drummer side of things?

Brandon, what I mean is I can trigger the drum sounds with my controller, and record them onto a midi track on Cubase Le. EZD has prerecorded drum loops and I beleive that are wave files or what ever. What I'm going to do tonight is try to record them on to a audio track. I have been thinking that I had to record them to a midi track.I hope this solves the proublem. Thanks again for all your help, you are a scholar & a true gentleman, Frank

Okay, so what's the problem? I'm less confused, but still confused. Is it a playback issue?

the grooves in EZD are midi files. you can preview them in EZD just by clicking on them from within the EZD plugin. if you want to incorporate the groove into your song, just drag the groove into the cubase MIDI track associated with EZD. from there can you render the MIDI track into an audio track(s). I suppose you could also record the audio directly from EZD while previewing a groove, but then you couldnt edit notes, and you may have to drag the resulting audio file to the appropriate section of the song where you want it, unless you have set up punch in/out markers. its much more flexible to drag MIDI grooves into a MIDI track. you can then string together grooves, edit notes, rearrange sections, etc. you dont want to render your MIDI drums down to audio files until your entire drum programming is complete.

I'm also having the same problem. The operation manual says that you can just drag and drop into a sequencer but this doesn't work for me. Is there something I have to do to the track Im dragging it into first?

I believe Cubase LE has teh drag and drop functionality disabled, but you may want to double check that.
