Question Edirol Studio Monitors

I'm chossing one Studio Monitor for my home recording project...

Does anyone already have any experience with the Edirol Monitors?

I was looking for this one:
Roland U.S. - MA-7A: Stereo Micro Monitors

I don't have much options in the local music store and don't want to import, because I'm in brazil it's a little difficult to do so...

May have this option too: (a little more expensive and with some waiting time)
Roland U.S. - MA-15D: Digital Stereo Micro Monitors

Thanks for all,
Osnildo

They'll be about as accurate as a pair of computer speakers. If you need something with some kind of accuracy, but money is a problem, get a good pair of headphones. It'll never make up for a good pair of monitors, but it will be better than a pair of crap speakers.

Hey richiebee, do you recommend any other monitor... with low cost...

The great problem is that don't have much music stores here. And the price become high even in those simple ones...

Thanks for the reply.

How much are you willing to spend first of all. Also you shouldn't get headphones first because you still need monitors to mix in. Mixing headphones is a big don't.

Hey Y.E., actually I can spend the max of $500, but....

As I live in Brazil, with expensive customs/taxes, I can buy something that cost the max of 300 dollars, as it will be priced throught 500 or more

For that price, you're not going to get much... try the KRK Rokit 5's.

btw - what kind of sound card/audio interface do you have?

Thanks again richiebee..

Actually I have a new Audiophile 192 audio card (have bought recently)...
I'm in need of something little better then my computer speakers, as with their I'm only getting a mono duplicated sound (not an stereo)...

For that I want to buy small Audio Monitors, and the Edirol MA-7 is the only one I have found here...

As it's for home recording much more as hobby then anything, i thing this one can be good for me...

Hey Helkrio,

I've been looking around for a decent set of monitors and so far these seems like a VERY attractive option.

Blue Sky

I have a couple of fairly knowledgeable friends that use these and higher end monitors and they stand by these bad boys. I'm going to be getting these this friday!

Today I have tested these Edirol MA-7A that I found here...
I went to the store and used it for a little (with various musics that I already know a lot)

I know that have much better monitors, but I really liked it.
The sounds are really "flat" on all way... or you can "color" it, with enhancing bass and treble/bass volume...

They are good for my actual need, and will be a great "up" in my home setup.
And, obvious, I can pay for them with my little budget.

Really thanks for all suggestions.
