Default Echo layla 3g Universal inputs

I am running Sonar 8 with an Echo Layla 3G. When I plug into input #1 with my guitar I can hear it through the left speaker, input #2 I hear it through the right speaker. This is happening with no programs open at all.

I wouldn't mind that, but it also does that in Sonar when I am trying to record a part using Revalver Mk3. I can still hear the un-effected input coming through the left speaker, no way to make it go away??

I also am forced to turn on "Input echo" in order to hear revalver, is that normal? I use to own a Lynx sound card and I didn't have to do that.

Thanks for any help!

Since you haven't had a response I will try to give you some ideas to look at. I do not have a Layla, but a Gina (they are related products). I also do not use Windows, but Linux. So maybe this won't be of any help at all, but hopefully won't hurt.

OK, the Echo interfaces have a hardware mixer built into them so you can mix the inputs directly to the output for zero latency monitoring. In Linux the program to control this mixer is called EchoMixer. Maybe there is some control panel applet that was installed with the drivers that you can use to mute the direct output of your inputs similar to the EchoMixer in Linux.

Nope.

You've got direct monitoring turned on within a control panel somewhere. You want to turn that off. Where? I have no idea. I've never used an Echo card.

Good luck!

I found the software mixer and muted the channel as you said which worked perfectly, thank you!
