cubase sx3 and reason 4 sound issue possibly rewire problem?

Hello, i have a laptop with reason 4 and cubase sx3 installed, up until a little while ago everything was fine, but now when i play the track in cubase (when rewired) when i switch to reason the sound will not play and the track freezes. i can edit the parameters of the device im using, but no sounds play, until i return back to cubase and then it plays or a delayed sound will play from when i last viewed the window.

its making things a little difficult as writing tunes is now taking 4 times as long and i cannot figure out why its happening. ive re installed both, changed where they are stored on seperate parts of the laptop as its partioned still nothing. are there any stored settings or sound settings that do not get deleted when its uninstalled that i can delete? im thinking that a fresh start will probabl sort it out but im none the wiser to be honest.

looked at device set up and im lost with what setting should be what, i know how to get it work but still the freezing issue is still apparent

I have a Realtek268 soundcard, on an Acer Aspire 5720Z / Dual Core T2310, im thinking it might be the sharing of asio driver, so do you think asio4all would fix the problem or make it worse? and in addiditon are there any system 32 files i can delete that hold preferences for sound card settings with cubase/reason so i can start again?

sorry to hassle but i NEED to fix this
