cubase sx3 on macbook 13inch
iv speant hours looking over laptops and recording software trying to work out which is best for me, I know i want to run cubase sx3 and by looking through lap tops i found that the macbook 3 would be my best choise, however i read this on another forum:
'Sx3 runs very poorly on intel based macs because it was never avalable in universal binary format and so needs to run software emulation (rosetta) of the older PPC CPU chips which result in poor performance'
Does this imply that other cubase versions in binary format would be more suited to macs?
Also, is the 'intel Core 2 Duo processor' on a macbook a 64 bit?
And 2 gig RAM is the maximum allowance, is this enough for recording throughout the years? i see quite allot of other machines with 3-4 gig, any help appriciated, cheers
