Default Cubase SX3

Hey, I recently got Cubase SX3. I went to record my bands song today, and it didn't go how I usually do it or how I wanted to do it at all. The drums, I normally plug the kick in the left side of the fast track pro, the snare into the right side and set them in there own tracks one under the left input of the fast trck and the other on the right. The overheads I put in my Alesis multimix and pan them and send the two a stereo track under the usb codec stereo input in its own trac. So i end up with 3 different tracks, kick, snare, overheads. Today it wouldnt work at all i had to put all of it trhu the mixer all two one stereo track because i couldnt get the Fasttrack pro and the USB Codec to be seperate inputs. And when i tried to add vox to this already bad sounding recording later i had my fasttrack all the way down and it was still clipping even when nobody was singin... and my iput thing doesnt say fasttrack pro or usb codec it says ASIO Multimedia or suttin like that... please help!

Go into the connections and make sure you have your fastrack (or whatever device you are using) selected as your inputs. If it says ASIO multimedia you just need to select the correct one. I uses cubase 4 so not sure if its the same deal with setting up inputs in sx. Great cubase forum at cubase.com................ Cheers
