Question Cubase SE3 Problem

Hi Brandon, everyone,

I have just finished my first ever recording with Cubase SE (my first PC based recording ever). I've worked my way to the end (I dare say I've done things wrong, but it's finished ). I exported it all to a wav file, but if I try to play this wav file in anything else I can't hear a thing Cubase imports it and plays it fine and there must be data in there cos its 62mb.... any ideas?

TIA

Phlipper

Is it 16 bit, 44.1Khz?

When you select the export menu, there are bunch of settings. You want to make sure that you are rendering down to stereo 16 bit, 44.1Khz.

Thanks Brandon
I'm sure I'd have got there in the end! I'm sure you remember what it's like... so many issues to work through it get difficult to see the trees for the wood. Still... I'm finding Cubase easier than I'd been warned
All the best
Phil

Dude, it took me 6 months from the time I bought my gear until I was ready to record bands.

This is what I tell people. Cubase is only hard when you don't know how to use it. In fact, it's VERY easy when you know how. Of course, it's not complicated to learn a program (read the manual, buy a dvd or two) but no one likes the obvious answers. (Look at the diet industry!)

Absolutely...everything looks hard from the outside. At the moment I'm working purely with MIDI and VSTi's to get the hang of things... but it is leading down an avenue of music I've always purposely ignored; but it's learning at least! I'll post my first mix up for you to bash soon.
Many thanks
Phil
