Default cubase: Insert an intro that I didn't leave room for

I'm looking for a little help with cubase. I completed my song w/5 tracks, however I want to insert an 8 bar intro. Does anyone know how to lock all tracks to move them at the same time to make room for the intro, if that is even possible? Or what is the best way to insert an intro that I didn't leave room for? I tried moving each track individually but that didn't work so well, because some of my tracks are not continuous and are bits inserted, so I would have to move each bit in a track seperately. I have been reading the manual, but couldn't find anything on this issue.
Thanks for any help you may offer.
Bob

It's super easy in PT, several ways to do it.

I don't know Cubase well enough to say for sure.

You don't want to move the tracks, that's for sure. You want to "Insert time" or "Move song start"
Where those commands are, if they exist, I have no idea.

You don't mention what version of Cubase you're using...

Look in the tool box for the RANGE SELECTION tool. It looks like a rectangle made with a dotted line. If you have that, select it and use it to drag the area you want to add, in the location you want to add, dragging it across all tracks.

Goto EDIT > RANGE > INSERT SILENCE

This should give you what you want.

You can select mutiple tracks to move together by holding the SHIFT key while selecting them.

Cubase le 4 doesn't have anything like the move song start or insert time. It got me thinking a little differently so hopefully it will lead to something. Thanks for trying.
