copyright permissions?
Hey e'budy.
I would like to record my voice to karaoke and other background music that probably requires permission ie royalties and send the completed songs to friends and relatives via e-mail mp3's. Doe's anyone here have that kind of info or perhaps links or sites that I could go for that knowledge? I checked google, and a few other places but was a bit overwhelmed by the volume of info. I want to pay somebody for their work so I'm not worried about the money issue. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks! stigg.

Brandon is right - if you aren't selling the music, don't worry about it. When you buy a karaoke cd, you are buying the right to sing over it and if you want to record it and share it with friends, I wouldn't look for the FBI to come knocking. Relax and enjoy.
