hi
Im having a problem with my Computer suddenly crashing when ever I open Guitar Rig 3 with Cubase Le 4. I have a Presonus Firestudio Project. My computer Specs are:Intel Core 2 due 3 Ghz processor Intel Buffalo Creek Motherboard 2 gig Ram 250 Gig harddrive memory Basically when I run Cubase Le 4 and guitar rig 3 the Computer crashes( reboots itself). The error report says I need upgrade my BIOS this is the error report: Microsoft is unable to determine the exact cause of this error. However, this problem was most likely caused by an error in your computer’s random access memory (RAM). RAM is the main internal storage area the computer uses to run programs and store data. During the crash analysis, we noticed the basic input/output (BIOS) system version on this computer does not match the specifications for the central processing unit (CPU), also known as a processor, that is installed on your computer. This can occur when a newer processor is installed on an older system board or older BIOS. Using a BIOS that does not support the installed processor can result in Windows system crashes. Contact your computer manufacturer or motherboard manufacturer for an updated version of BIOS for your computer's processor. thanx |

did you buy the computer new?
if you did its probably not overclocked unless you did it yourself or a 'friend' has 'tweaked' it for you. So you dont have to worry about it. Has anybody had a 'play' in the bios? first try reinstalling the software that's acting up and make sure its all up to date along with all your drivers if that doesnt work ask about stage 2 cheers |

Ah I see from another post you have the GR3 demo.
Does Cubase work fine by itself? Does the rest of your computer work? Are there any other problems apart from the GR3 demo and Cubase LE4 issue? If it just a matter of the demo not working, try to get another copy from somewhere and try that. When they make a demo they change all types of things so it wont work like the full version plus they want to make it hard for hackers to crack the demo and make it full version. So they mess with it alot. Sometimes these changes cause bugs just like the one your having. cheers |
