Smile Behringer xenyx 2442 mixer

Hello all - my first post - I'm a virgin so please be gentle with me...

setting up my home recording mini studio. The mixer has inbuilt guitar effects and I would like to experiment with these however I dont know how to patch the effects into the mix and also the control room and main outputs. The manual isnt the best in the world and assumes that the user has a lot of prior knowledge - I dont!

Can get the sounds through the mixer and can record ok into my laptop with cubase sx3.1, just dont know how to set up to use the effects bank

Another quickie - is it possible my home wireless setup may be interfering/distorting my sound (ironing out glitches and trying to eliminate obvious probs)

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated

Many Thanks

Regards

Steve

I took a look at the manual. It is a bit confusing without the mixer in front of me. But experiment with the Stereo Aux Return Effects. There is an effects output on the back. After selecting the effect, you may need to bring a patch cable from that output back into your effects return and use the control to mix the effect (wet) with the dry signal.
