Default Audio interface problems and EZ drummer

so i just got an interface and plugged it in and all. but i cant seem to get the sound to come out of the computer. i mean if i plug my headphones in the audio interface i can hear what im recording but i cant hear the previously recorded things.
also on ezdrummer i cant seem to get it working on ableton live 7. if i just drag and drop, it recognizes midi but doesnt play the notes
all the help appreciated

It sounds like you maybe don't have your outputs routed correctly in ableton. I don't use ableton nor have I ever so I am not sure how to do this in ableton. If you see wave forms recorded in your daw and you hear it for monitoring in your interface this is likely the cause.

do you know what type of audio driver i should be using? i think thats the prob....

Sorry. In cubase it would be ASIO. If that is an option it is worth a try.

yeah thats what i had now... also is it normal btw that i cant use a ableton or probably any daw while using say itunes??

Definitely get the latest drivers from the websites of ableton and the interface company.

Open Ableton. On the left is the browser. Open the plug-ins tab and you should see ezdrummer in the list. Double click it and it should open up ezdrummer in a seperate window. Click on 'open grooves, select the relevant library and choose a beat. Click and drag your beat over to the sequencer and drop it wherever you need to. You can now also edit the MIDI track to your liking.
Bring to the boil, lower the heat and allow to simmer a while before serving...
