Audio Interface For Intel Mac

Hi there!

Im about to buy my first soundcard, I got a mac intel duo 10.4 (1.25 gib)

Can anyone advice me which one could be the best?

I need 8 imputs and nice sound, enough gain and no problems of compativility.

I was deciding for the focusrite saffire pro 10 or the firepod.

I would be glad to hear any expert advice

All real deal recording audio interfaces are about the same. When you build a million dollar room, you can nitpick about the 0.01% difference between them. In the meantime you have about 99.99% of the problem on your shoulders. So I wouldn't make an enormous fuss about which one is the best. I'd find the one that is best for you.
