To what device are you switching the drivers on? Can you tell me which USB mixer you are using? Are you using it to record vocals and such? Is the Podxt only for guitar recording? Brandon |

I use Adobe audition 2, when using the windows driver, I can set up my Alesis usb mixer and my Pod xt, however when I use the creative or audigy driver, the only control panel I get sets latency for that driver, it does not even give me an option to use usb or codec. Therefore when I set up for recording, there is no option for either, like there is when I use the windows driver. I use the mixer for drum machine, keyboards and vocals. The pod is primarily for guitar and bass

Hmm, this is a new one, although it seams very common for people using Creative and Audigy sound cards to have trouble. Hang on a second. If you are using a USB mixer, why do you need to use the Creative or Audigy driver at all? If you have a USB mixer (which I assume acts as a sound card / audio interface) then what is the Audigy even doing? If seams to me that you would simply select the Alesis USB mixer in Adobe Audition and you'd be ready to rock. The Creative and Audigy sound card has nothing to do with the Alesis or the PODxt if I'm understanding you correctly. Brandon Brandon |

the alesis does not have a driver, it's plug and play, so it uses the windows driver. The windows driver is not an ASIO driver, and the windows driver likes to skip when playing a large file, making it impossible to add additional tracks.

So basically you are saying that the Alesis is a crappy recording device. What exact model is this? I'd like to research the issue a little bit on my own. Brandon |

No I'm not saying that at all, I'm saying that the control panel for the audigy or creative drivers does not allow any devices other than what is specifically connected to them, they will not recognise any usb divices plugged into the computer, at least I can't find a way... by the wal it's an alesis 8 multimix.
