Default Anyone With a Fast Track PRo? Usb 2.0???

I have a M-Audio Fast Track Pro coming in this week, and i cant find out if it comes with a usb 2.0 connection or not. Im pretty sure its SUPPORTS the usb 2.0 from looking at the m-audio website, and m-audio SELLS a usb 2.0 connection but No where does it say weather the Fast track COMES with a usb 1.1 or a 2.0

So if anyone could help me out... id appreciate it.

Well, if all else fails, Walmart carries these, so it's not like you have to order them or anything. Of course, I'm sure it would be cheaper to order it from newegg.com than to buy it in town.

yeah...

so im gussing all the "20-gauge copper wiring" & "24K gold-plated connectors" talk on the m-audio isnt reallt THAT important, since the copper connecter cable at wallmart says it moves info just as fast..

You always hear talk about super high quality cable this and super high quality that, but it's not necessary... accept between guitar / bass and amps.

This is because of the relationship of input and ouput impedance on the guitar and amp are more sensitive to "stuff" getting in the way than in other recording situations. Even then, you've got to really work to hear a difference.

I've paid $100 for a 20 foot XLR cable and it, in no way, warranted the price for me.

When dealing with digital cables, it's my opinion that the quality of the cable is even less significant. With digital, it seams to me that either the signal is getting through or it isn't. There isn't much room for "coloration".

For what it is worth, if I had a billion dollars and was recording Elton John all the time, I'd probably spend a nice chunk on cables....but not until I wreck at least 3 Ferraris.

Since it doesn't require a USB 2.0 port, it must be 1.1.

Go through the beginner's section of the Sound Card Wizard (in my signature) and you'll find the "digital inputs" section. Also check out, S/PDIF in the glossary.
