 No Sound From WAV File
I exported a WAV file of a complete project from Ableton Live 8 & it played back Ok in VLC Player. I did the same again, this time the file plays back with no sound so I tried a few more times but with the same result. What's up with that?

Are you sure you specified the correct segment of the track you want to hear by highlighting it in the master track? That is one of common causes of that problem.

To export all tracks, I select the number of bars in the Export Audio/Video window. If I select 4 bars as a test, it works but when all bars in the project are selected, no sound on playback.

I highlight the bars I want in the master track. This is the best way IMO and I have the fewest problems exporting the correct part of the music. Are all the tracks being routed to the master track? I've never done it by specifying the bars in the Export window. If you have highlighted the correct section of the master track, the correct bars will appear automatically in the Export window.
