Default EZ Drummer in Live

I'm not completely sure on how to use this. I add ez drummer to a midi track and enable the track to record, but when I hit the drums/cymbals while recording the midi note doesn't register. I can hear the sound but the midi note doesn't show up on the track. I want to use it to where i can just draw in notes after I hit each of my drums to get a midi note on the track. This is how I use impulse on live so I don't know if this is the right way to use this. HELP!

I have never tried EZD in Ableton. I will attempt it later tonite and if I get it right I will post the answer here.

OK. Simple. Open Ableton. On the left is the browser. Open the plug-ins tab and you should see ezdrummer in the list. Double click it and it should open up ezdrummer in a seperate window. Click on 'open grooves, select the relevant library and choose a beat. Click and drag your beat over to the sequencer and drop it wherever you need to. You can now also edit the MIDI track to your liking.
Bring to the boil, lower the heat and allow to simmer a while before serving...

hope that helps
