Default Dry Guitar Signal

I want to send the dry signal of my guitar to Ableton and use Pod Farm plugin to experiment with different tones. Is this done in preferences under Input Config? I am using a Line 6 UX2 as my audio interface.

Thanks

I am not familiar with Pod Farm. Is it a vst plug-in? If so, go into File Folder in Preferences and set Pod Farm as your custom vst folder or create a custom vst folder and put Pod Farm in it. Then click Rescan Plugins and you should find it in the browser window on the left that looks like a plug. Drag it into your track and have at it.

No its not a vst. I think you could go to the mixer and change the drop down boxes to dry signal or you could just not use any effects or amps and the signal would be dry. I use pod farm into ableton but ive never needed a dry signal but hopefully this helps.

Yes it works both as a stand alone or a plugin I already have the dll file is my vst folder and I have set the Pod Farm mixer to send my dry signal while I hear the processed signal. My question is what settings do I need to change in preferences within Ableton/

Thanks

Well the thing is you first have to set up the audio driver in ableton's preferences as line 6 ux2. Then set up a track and arm it and you should hear the dry track. Throw on pod farm then if you want to run an amp sim.
