Default Looking for Rock Lead/Solo Guitar

This is a new one Im working on, just looking for someone to do a lead track. Theres a change in the song for soloing as well as a spot for some heavy solo work in between the "Hey Now's" after the bridge. Thanks, enjoy, have fun, let me know when you have something.

Here's something. Let me know what you think. Be brutally honest, and I'll try to change it to what you need. I'm basically a novice at recording.

I used a Gretsch 6122-1959 Nashville Classic hollowbody guitar (suprise! this ain't no metal guitar, really) , a Mesa-Boogie F-30 head with a 2x10 Trutone Custom cab loaded with Weber Silver Pups, my FX board for distortion and delay. Mic'd off-axis with a Shure SM-58.

Software is Protools M-Powered 7.3, and I added a little reverb with the D-Verb plugin.

as for the guitar solo, the playing is good, buy it kind of sounds like you are playing through a megaphone. What did you use to record it?
