Default Looking for piano, lead guitar (electric or acoustic), bass, and maybe strings

im recording drums sometime this week, so i'll try to keep this updated as progress is made. but like the title says, i need a lot of things.. piano is what i really am after, but anything else would be totally cool to experiment with. im recording with logic 8 pro so if you have that available, it would be ideal, but obviously not necessary. thanks for looking.

    Hey Daniel,

Downloaded you Aura Lee (vocals) effort from work: based on that, count me in. (Can't download this one until back at work) - strings would be my main forte, but could also fake piano.
Work in Cubase, so would need to send sound files.

I would also be most interested to have you partake in a duet that I have: written a few years ago, this tune now has the female role. A 12-year-old girl who sings like a goddess: your voice and style of singing would be most complimentary - no, that's not a joke or an insult: it's a COMPLIMENT.
(This girl is the daughter of friends of mine, and she has been performance singing since she was five. I have been looking for the 'female voice' for some time, and I had to laugh when I found it...)

The tune is a funky, r and b, road story (as in road of life) that has Viking mythology overtones - hence qualifying as 'folky'.

It is my cleverest piece of writing, which is why I need to see it produced.
While you have a mild American accent, I don't see that as a problem: it accentuates the difference between HIM and Her. Artistic license and all.

Will send you PM also. You can get me on svenca@ihug.co.nz

    Cheers,
    Sven

Sweet deal. Im totally stoked you all want to mess with this. Ill attach the bass/drum mix. The drums sound like trash.. I recorded them with 4 mxl condensers in my buddy's tiny bedroom, and what he came up with is pretty basic. The bass part however, i really dig. I wasn't there for the recording so i dont know what they used, but the quality is sub par.
let me know if you all need anything isolated.

And Svencanz Im definitely down to work with you on your stuff as well. I'll shoot you and email sometime soon to work out the details.

Is it cool if I give electric guitar a shot?

    Daniel,

Have now sent files from work - letting you know here so you can check that they arrive.
Added a few bars of strings around 1:56 - about 12 tracks or so of LASS.

    Also sent you my tune.

You guys are surley much younger than I am so the concept to me is coming from a very different angle. BUT to be able to send out tracks to have musicians around the world add a flavor to it and eventually ewdit every down to one great song id FANTASTIC.

Should the need arise again.....I am a guitar player...more jazz than rock these days but I was 16 during the original Woodstock and that one night (Aug 16 ) we had thought long and hard about Woodstock or Led Zeppelin in Asbury Park, NJ... Led Zeppelin won....hell, we had already spent $4.50 on tickets.

    Love the idea !
